PTC

The Oak Grove PTC is active in enriching our children’s Elementary school years. All parents, guardians, and staff are automatically members of the Oak Grove PTC and are encouraged to attend meetings.  Please don’t be shy, we would love to see you there.  We host a variety of events including Jog -a -Palooza, Oak Grove Hootenany, Teacher Sunshine Committee, Bingo Night, Spring Carnival, and book fairs.  We are adding new events this year and enhancing our traditional events.  We are always open to new ideas!  The PTC is always in need of volunteers, so feel free to reach out to any of us for information, or just show up to our regularly scheduled meetings held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month typically.

Volunteer to help at our new Holiday Shop

New this year is our Holiday Shop taking place Dec 9-13.  What is the Holiday Shop?  It a fun and educational experience for the children where they can pick out and purchase gifts for family and friends while learning about money management.  The items range in price from $.25 to $14.50.  We will send more information to parents as the time is near, but for now we need some volunteers to help in the shop.

Volunteer duties will be working the cash register, taking the money, and/or helping a child shop within their budget.  The shop will be at Oak Grove Elementary, we are still working on the exact location.

It’s going to be a great program, but we need you parents to make it work.

Sunshine Committee

We are still in need for some volunteers to sign up for the Sunshine Committee!
What is the Sunshine Committee? It’s a wonderful program that the PTC started several years ago; designed to spoil and love our staff members. If you feel inclined, you may choose a staff member to anonymously give a small gift, treat, or note to, each month. (It’s generally easiest, to leave these in the front office or in the staff member’s box.) We believe that gratitude speaks volumes and goes a long way; often, these little “acts of sunshine”, brighten the days of our staff members, when they need it most.

Childcare will be at each meeting. 8th grade
students from NAMS are volunteering to help. They are
raising money for their Washington DC trip so donations
are appreciative.
